Main Cast and Wikipedia : Tumpa Paul will act as Rimli or main heroin of this serial. Actor Shaurja Batyacharyya will be the hero of this drama. The nick Name of Shaurja is John. He will act as Uday in this series. Actress Bidipta Chakraborty will act as Mahajan or owner of the field and the mother of Shaurja. So, Bidipta will play in a negative role. Another cast(s) are – Mallika Majumdar, Debranjan Nag.
Gist Story or Synopsis of Rimli : In the beginning, we see simple food, chili, salt and onion within a bowl of Panta Bhat. Then, it is clear that Rimli, the lead actress is preparing to go farming field after binding foods in a small tiffin carrier. Village girls and wives call her and she starts to walk. So, it is clear Rimli will act as a farmer in this serial.
But we see twist in this promo soon. Actually, Rimli and poor peoples of their village are working hard in the field to earn their livelihood. Even after so much harwork, Mahajan is not giving them their fair price of crops. Every year Mahajan/Jotdar decreases the price of rice as 2 rs per maund. So, Rimli aka Tumpa will be the face of deprived, exploited farmers in this serial.
